Why some people ‘glue together’ during sex

Recently, the international media were awash with the story of an Italian couple whose genitals got stuck together during sex in the waters of a Porto San Giorgio beach in Italy. The duo remained locked until a woman with a towel came and helped the pair walk to the shore where a medic, called by beachgoers, brought them to a local hospital before they could be separated. Despite the fact that this incident sounds like a scene from a trashy pornographic comedy, stories of couples getting stuck during sex are real. Though it seemed logically impossible and downright outlandish, a handful of couples have been reported to have gotten ‘glued together’ during sexual intercourse. Such cases have been recorded in Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe. Although many couples may experience problems after sex such as migraines, heart problems and even memory loss, the penis getting stuck into the vagina during intercourse, especially in the missionary position, is one th...

Ebiripo: one of the best Ijebu Food

In spite of the fact that most of the Ijebu foods are tuber-related such as Ikokore, Ojojo, Ebiripo etc, the process of cooking these tuber varieties with special sauces makes them nutritionally rich and appropriate for all occasions. Ebiripo is a typical Ijebu cocoyam meal that can be cooked in various ways and spiced up to make a balanced diet. Cocoyam is purely carbohydrates and poor in other nutrients but many have now found ways to make the roots nutritious by adding soya beans while making Ebiripo. According to a study by Sowonola O. A. Et al, from the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State, “The combination of cocoyam and soyabeans in the processing of Ebiripo will bring about nutrient complement ability”. They submitted in their findings that Ebiripo fortified with 40% soya flour was significantly 28% higher in protein and 8.4% higher in fat than the other Ebiripo samples. Kemi Adeosun, the minister of finance, resigned her appointment so as not to be a baggage to President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid, her associates have told TheCable. Daily Trust broke the news of her resignation on Friday following a report by Premium Times that she presented a forged NYSC exemption certificate as part of her credentials. But TheCable learnt that she was still working in her office as at noon on Friday, casting doubts on her resignation. However, two of her close associates told TheCable that she “toed the path of honour by choosing to step down so that her NYSC issue will not be used against the president and the party” in the 2019 electioneering. “Posterity will judge her for going the honourable thing by resigning,” one of the associates said.
