on TV, KSB
explained why
she is contesting on the APC platform.
“Good luck to my family members, because right
now we all bear our names. If I had wanted to be
a member of the party that my family belongs to, I
would have done that.
In the past 10 years, APC has been very
supportive towards my development financially,
and also, to my children’s development. Senator
Remi Tinubu stood by me and she didn’t even
stop helping me.
During my album launch, she sent First Lady of
Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola to represent
her,” she stated.

Lion blindsided by crocodile in river escapes

Lions might be the kings of the jungle, but crocodiles rule the river. At least most of the time. That wasn’t the case in a video shared by Kruger Sightings the other day. It shows a young lion crossing a river and getting blindsided by a crocodile. A woman in the background can be heard saying, “Oh my God; oh my God,” just before the inevitable. But it has a happy ending: A happy ending for the lion, that is. The crocodile’s next meal would have to wait. The footage was captured by a tourist while standing on the H10 bridge near the Lower Sabie River in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. “All we can say is, lions should always look both [ways] before crossing the river,” Kruger Sightings said on Facebook

BAYELSA AGAIN.

There was apprehension in Bayelsa State on Saturday as gunmen said to sea pirates allegedly killed four policemen and abducted six persons. The killing of the policemen and the abduction of the six persons were said to have been carried out in two separate operations in the state. While the killing of the policemen took place along the Santa Barbara waterways, the six were abducted along the Nembe waterways in Nembe Local Government Area of the state. SUNDAY PUNCH learnt the gunmen also seized a gunboat belonging to the Nigeria Police in an incident that occurred about 1:30pm on Friday. It was learnt the gunboat was escorting a barge owned by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company when the pirates attacked it. It was further learnt that the pirates, who operated on a speedboat, laid ambush for the gunboat and opened fire on the policemen.
