“I came into a deeply divided family – a lot of
my husband’s relatives, I never saw physically
before he died.

Ojukwu Transport Company issues have been
in court, they still have not resolved the issues
concerning their father’s wealth, and this was
an issue that started in 1966..
I am very comfortable if not for anything, for
being the daughter of Chief C.C.Onoh, and my
father took care of me, so the issue is not just
about their family. But my husband was also a
very serious person, so he anticipated all what
is happening now by making sure that the
most of my inheritance is bequeathed to me by
the Deed of Gift, so prior to his death, most of
those gifts had already been registered under
my name.
But I will say that at the end of the day, it’s not
a question of acquisition, all I am saying is
that I am the only wife that he wedded, first
and foremost, at the Kaduna registry as
witnessed by his friend, the late Clement
Akpamgbo, and we had a small reception after
the event at Apo Quarters, in Abuja.

After the registry marriage, we went through
the Catholic marriage at Our Lady Queen of
Nigeria Catholic Church in Abuja, and it was
officiated by the then Arch Bishop Onaiyekan-
then the Archbishop of Abuja Diocese.
We finally went through the full traditional
marriage in my father’s compound that literally
had all the traditional titled chiefs, paramount
rulers of the community in attendance.
The five governors of the eastern states at the
time were present, ambassadors were in
attendance.
The Abuja wedding for instance was almost a
state wedding. So the evidence is there for all
to see, and when you are faced with that
situation, and you have been properly married,
and you have off springs from that union, but
purely because they want to cheat your
offsprings of their inheritance, in addition to
other things, by virtue of their being the
youngest, any mother would do all she can to
protect them.

They have hurled all sorts of vitriol and
outlandish claims about me- the most
laughable has been what they claim that I was
not legally married to my husband.
I mean, this is a marriage that took place in
1994 and not 1884; so the evidence, the
videos, media reports are there for everyone to
see.”

Lion blindsided by crocodile in river escapes

Lions might be the kings of the jungle, but crocodiles rule the river. At least most of the time. That wasn’t the case in a video shared by Kruger Sightings the other day. It shows a young lion crossing a river and getting blindsided by a crocodile. A woman in the background can be heard saying, “Oh my God; oh my God,” just before the inevitable. But it has a happy ending: A happy ending for the lion, that is. The crocodile’s next meal would have to wait. The footage was captured by a tourist while standing on the H10 bridge near the Lower Sabie River in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. “All we can say is, lions should always look both [ways] before crossing the river,” Kruger Sightings said on Facebook

Obasanjo tells youths, Fight for Nigeria’s survival.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has told youths to take up the responsibility and effect the needed change in Nigeria instead of blaming the previous generations for the nation’s decay. The former President said this at the 100th-year anniversary of Ijero Baptist Church in Lagos on Sunday. Obasanjo said the generation before him fought for Nigeria’s independence while his generation fought for Nigeria’s unity during the civil war. He said the subsequent generation also fought for democracy. Obasanjo, therefore, said it was time for the next generation to make its own contribution to national development instead of complaining. He said, “Recently, a son of my friend looked at everything around him and got angry and went to meet his dad who is my age mate. He told his father that our generation is a lost one. The father did not pay him any attention so he came to meet me. “He told me what he told his father and justified it by telling me that he went...

China Ice Festival

The event is recognized as the largest of its kind in the world. The Festival officially lasts for one month, but with winter temperatures in the city averaging a bone-chilling minus 17C, many of the sculptures remain in place for considerably longer than that. The sculptures are formed either from compacted snow, or from blocks of ice which are hauled out of the nearby Songhua River. Purified water is also used, - frozen into blocks of clear ice. Many of the sculptures are illuminated to add another dimension to the displays during the long hours of darkness at this time of the year. The Festival began in 1963 but it was only held sporadically, because of the upheaval during the Cultural Revolution. It became a regular event in 1985. In 2001 the Harbin Ice Festival was merged with the Heilongjiang International Ski Festival, to become the event we know today. In 2007, a sculpture celebrating the work of a revered Canadian doctor, Norman Bethune, was recognised ...

Most Nigeria popular Food

Nigeria is a blessed country. We are blessed with diverse rich culture and food. Nigerians both at home and the diaspora always love their food because of how unique and delicious it is. You are free to add to the list because this list is based on my research. Feel free to salivate.... It's allowed. RICE AND STEW This happens to be my second favourite meal funny enough. It is called Sunday food by most people because although people prepare rice and stew on a normal day, it is most commonly prepared on Sundays. The rice is boiled white and served with stew made from tomatoes and other ingredients. I did a research on how different people prepare stew and it turns out that there are different ways of making stew. But 70% of Nigerians prepare is with tomato, onion, vegetable oil/palm oil.
